Track Record #3

It’s been three months since we opened four accounts at Interactive Brokers and purchased stocks in each of them based on the AVIstocks algorithm’s selection for each of the 4 strategies. It’s time to see what has happened to each of the accounts over the past 3 months.

INDIGO strategy

So, $10,000 invested using the INDIGO strategy turned into $11,451 over three months.

GREEN strategy

So, $10,000 invested using the GREEN strategy turned into $10,818 over three months.

ORANGE strategy

So, $10,000 invested using the ORANGE strategy turned into $11,355 over three months.

YELLOW strategy

So, $10,000 invested using the YELLOW strategy turned into $11,093 in 3 months.

Comparison with the market index

We’ve compiled the results for each strategy and the combined metrics for all 4 strategies, compared to the market index, into a table

The table shows that over the past 3 months, investing in stocks selected using any of the AVI strategies delivered significantly higher returns than investing in the market index, by a factor of 2-3. And the total assets across all four strategies grew by 11.8%, while the “market” grew by only 4.3%.

Can we say that strategy-based investing has proven to be a clear winner over investing in the market index? No, you can’t say that. Three months is nothing at all. Real trends will emerge over periods of several years. We’ll continue to monitor the situation.

Good afternoon. Could you please explain the rise in INDIGO? I see that the price hasn’t changed by 14.51%. According to my calculations, that works out to a 5.534% increase (from 182.70 on 23.10 to 190.7 on 23.01). Thank you for your work!
