Hello, friends! Today marks exactly one year since we opened 4 accounts with Interactive Brokers, deposited $10,000 into each one, and began publicly sharing our monthly investment results for the 4 strategies in the form of screenshots from the IB website.
It’s a milestone of sorts. And although one year isn’t a long time for a long-term investor, it still makes sense to take stock and outline plans for the future. Which is exactly what we’re going to do now.
Results for the year
First, let’s sum things up. Attached are screenshots of our IB accounts, which we invested in a year ago and have simply been monitoring ever since, without doing anything with the stocks we bought.
- GREEN - growth for the year was 27.9%.
- INDIGO - growth for the year was 34.9%.
- ORANGE - growth for the year was 39.9%.
- YELLOW - growth for the year was 30.2%.
As we can see, the growth over the year from October 23, 2024, to October 22, 2025, turned out to be quite good. One might even say - very good. The market index also rose unusually high over this year: it grew by 16.6%, compared to the usual 9-9.5%. But our strategies delivered roughly twice that return. A table comparing the returns of the strategies and the index is included in the attachment.
Draw your own conclusions.
What’s more, anyone can easily verify the accuracy of the figures presented. After all, the composition of our portfolios hasn’t changed all year - the portfolios published a year ago remain exactly the same today. Therefore, anyone can check the price of any stock a year ago and today.
Time to change the portfolio composition
But now the time has come to change the composition of our portfolios and rebalance them. We need to see what the AVIstocks program has selected for today for each strategy and update all our portfolios. We’ve done that.
