Track Record #9
Another month has passed - the ninth since we began managing live portfolios in accordance with the recommendations of the three AVI strategies on Interactive Brokers. It’s time to publish the latest report on the status of the portfolios.
As we can see, all strategies have shown growth over the past 9 months. Growth ranged from 8.7% for the YELLOW strategy to 15.2% for the GREEN strategy.
And how much has the U.S. market grown during this time? The S&P 500 TR index (Total Return - including dividends paid) rose from 12,811.36 to 13,761.33 - a 7.4% increase - over the same period, from October 22, 2024, to July 22, 2025. As we can see, all of our AVI strategies outperformed the market. But to varying degrees. For clarity, here’s the chart:
Will the strategies continue to outperform the market? It’s impossible to say for certain, but based on research into AVI strategies over long periods in the past, we can state the following with a high degree of confidence: “No, the market will still beat the strategies from time to time, but over long time horizons - when 5 years or more have passed since the start date - the strategies’ advantage will be undeniable and very substantial.” In any case, we’ll be able to see all of this unfold month by month.
